The 3 places are on the same building, with connections by the terraces.

Tavira  is the most charming town in eastern Algarve, close to the beaches in a natural ecologically protected area.  

The apartments are in the historic center in the nicest area to live, a little apart from the noisy main concert place and close to the market. It is also a rather flat area with free parking solutions around. A car is useful to enjoy the best beaches but not necessary.

Restaurants, café museums, galleries, the castle and roman bridge are all within a short walk.

Distance from Tavira Terraces:

  • 5 minutes walk along the river to the right: Boat to Tavira Island beach
  • 12 minutes walk to the left:  bus station to Lisbon, Faro, Séville etc
  • 15 minutes walk to the left:  train station to Lisbon, Faro, Séville etc
  • Taxi in front of the house (around euros to santa Luzia beach)
  • 35 minutes drive: Faro airport :

Airport transfers shuttle or private taxi airport around 30 euros.

Directions: 

From the highway you follow direction Tavira (or Spain from Faro). You will reach the N125 when you see a roundabout with a big sailing boat sculpture. Follow Tavira centre which is going in front (right is direction Faro, left is direction Vila Real).

You enter Tavira at that point. You will pass under a bridge which is the railway and find a roundabout and continue straight ahead. From that point the street is called Rua dos Mouros. At the end of that street (It ends going a little bit up a rise to a Stop) you turn left going downhill. The street naturally bends to the right and some 200 meters ahead, in front of a square with high trees, turn to the left going down again. You reach a small roundabout with a café called Pastelaria Tavirense (excellent pastries) on your left and the cinema of Tavira on your right.

Turn right. The house is next to Casa Ambaca.

You can park for free in the vicinity (rather go further to the right) avoiding “Pago” inscriptions. Sunday and night it is free.

If you are lost, just ask for the old Cinéma and Casa Ambaca close to caméra municipale. Everybody knows them. 

When arriving, you can leave your luggage at the bottom of the stairs if you arrive too early (check in at 15H). You will have access to get in so no problem if you are late.
